President Murmu Launches Brahma Kumaris Campaign in Vadodara
President Droupadi Murmu launched the Spiritual Awakening Campaign of Brahma Kumaris in Vadodara, Gujarat, on September 23, 2026. She also inaugurated the Global Spiritual Palace Retreat Centre. The President additionally launched the Youth for Viksit Bharat campaign of Brahma Kumaris Nadiad through video conferencing.
Spiritual Awakening Campaign and Global Spiritual Palace
Addressing the gathering, President Murmu highlighted the need to combine economic progress with human development. She said education should develop wisdom along with intellect. She also stressed sensitivity towards nature, self-control and spiritual values that connect people.
The President appreciated the Brahma Kumaris for spreading messages of personal transformation and global renewal through meditation and spiritual knowledge. She noted that their activities have reached people in India and several countries.
She further said every individual has the potential to create positive change. According to her, changes in thoughts and actions can transform lives. Restoring hope and self-respect can also encourage people to contribute positively to society.
The President expressed confidence that the Global Spiritual Palace would provide a space where people from different sections of society could come together in peace and harmony.
Youth for Viksit Bharat Initiative
The President also virtually launched Youth for Viksit Bharat: Awakening Inner Strength for Nation Building at Nadiad, Gujarat. She noted that Nadiad is the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
President Murmu emphasised that positive thoughts, emotions and actions among young people can influence families, workplaces, communities and the nation. She described inner strength as an important element of nation-building and stressed the collective responsibility to empower youth.
She called for young people to become self-reliant, peace-loving and responsible citizens. She also highlighted self-transformation as a foundation for societal transformation.
The President said India’s development should combine economic prosperity, scientific advancement, social inclusion and spiritual awakening. The Spiritual Awakening Campaign therefore focuses on personal transformation alongside broader social renewal.
