High Court Appointments: 14 Judicial Officers Named

High Court Appointments Across Four States/UTs

The High Court Appointments announced on 19 September 2026 cover 14 judicial officers across four High Courts. The President made the appointments after consulting the Chief Justice of India, as provided under the Constitution.

The appointments include Nivedita Anil Sharma and Nisha Sahay Saxena as Judges of the Delhi High Court. Sanjay Sharma, Bharat Parashar, Dr. Aditi Choudhary, Dinesh Bhatt and Arun Bhardwaj will serve as Additional Judges of the same court.

Yash Paul Bourney will serve as a Judge of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court. The Jharkhand High Court will receive Manoj Prasad, Akhil Kumar and Ram Sharma as Judges.

Judicial Officers Appointed to Karnataka High Court

The Karnataka High Court will receive three Additional Judges: Smt. Usharani, K.S. Bharath Kumar and Smt. Nerale V. Bhavani.

The notification covers the Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Jharkhand and Karnataka High Courts. It includes both Judges and Additional Judges.

The Ministry of Law and Justice announced the appointments through the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on 19 September 2026.
