NLMC Asset Monetisation Advances with ₹5,000 Crore Proposals
NLMC Asset Monetisation gained momentum at the 21st Board Meeting of National Land Monetization Corporation Limited (NLMC) on 18 September 2026. The Board reviewed the progress of its asset monetisation programme and considered proposals worth over ₹5,000 crore.
NLMC Asset Monetisation Programme
The proposals cover surplus land and building assets held by Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and other Government entities. NLMC works with asset-owning organisations to identify suitable properties and assess their monetisation potential.
The Corporation also conducts due diligence, facilitates valuation and structures suitable monetisation processes. These activities aim to promote transparency, efficiency and effective value realisation.
The Board examined the progress of various asset-owning entities and discussed ways to accelerate implementation. It stressed stronger coordination with stakeholder organisations to move identified assets through appropriate and transparent mechanisms.
Financial Statements and Institutional Initiatives
The Board also reviewed NLMC’s financial performance and institutional initiatives. It approved the Annual Financial Statements and Directors’ Report for the financial year 2025–26.
NLMC is a wholly owned Government of India company under the administrative control of the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Ministry of Finance. The Government established NLMC to facilitate the monetisation of surplus land and building assets belonging to CPSEs and other Government entities.
The Corporation helps asset-owning organisations identify, assess and monetise surplus properties. It supports transparent and commercially appropriate processes for these assets.
The Board highlighted the need to maintain momentum and strengthen coordination with concerned Ministries, Departments, CPSEs and other Government entities. These efforts can help asset owners unlock value from surplus properties and improve the utilisation of public resources.
The recommendation of proposals exceeding ₹5,000 crore reflects the scale of NLMC’s current asset monetisation activities. NLMC Asset Monetisation will continue to focus on efficient, transparent and value-oriented management of surplus public assets.
